For Blinker, Ronni and Green MP Kathrin Henneberger, the 1.5 degree limit runs through Lützerath. They are fighting in different ways to preserve the village in the Rhenish lignite mining region. While Blinker focuses on barricades and Ronni concentrates on the media strategy of the occupation, Henneberger tries to influence her party leadership. But they consider Lützerath to be the “wrong symbol”. After the eviction, what remains are images of destruction, memories and wounds that are only slowly healing. An example of lived democracy and the influence of social movements on politics.
